What is NTFS?
If you are using Windows, then your hard drive is more than like formatted using the standard file system NTFS. NTFS is defined as “New Technology File System”. It is a high-performance and self-healing file system proprietary to Windows 8, 7, Vista, NT, 2008, 2003, 2000, which supports file-level security, data compression and auditing. It also supports large volumes and powerful storage solution such as RAID. The most important features of NTFS are data integrity and the ability to encrypt files and folders to protect your data from hard drive damage, hackers and viruses.
I just formatted a partition with NTFS file system. I didn’t mean to do it. But now my files on that partition are all lost, because I was carelessly to make a backup. I need help to unformat my NTFS partition. Does anybody know how to do it? Many thanks.
Nowadays, most drives and partitions on Windows computers are NTFS partition. Intentionally or accidentally formatting/deleting of your NTFS drive will wipe all files on it. But the truth is that you can still unformat/undelete NTFS drive, which means you can recover all lost files back from that unformatted/undeleted partition. The formatted/deleted data will be lost forever only when new data on your partition overwrites it. That is, you can stop putting new data to your formatted/deleted NTFS drive and look for a formatted/deleted NTFS partition data recovery program in the Internet to help you.
I would like to recommend UFUSoft Data Recovery, or UFUSoft Data Recovery for Mac for you. This impressive utility enables you to unformat/undelete NTFS drive with an extraordinary easy way, as well as risk-free solution. Tips & Suggestions after Data Loss
Tip 1: Do not write anything onto the NTFS drive where the data have been deleted/formatted until recovery process is completed.
Tip 2: Do not install UFUSoft NTFS File Recovery on the same NTFS drive. Even software installation could overwrite your lost data.
Tip 3: Do not try to save recovered data onto the same NTFS drive where you deleted/formatted them. It’s better to save onto another drive or any removable device.
